Scouting teaches kids teamwork, problem-solving, bush skills, first aid, environmental stewardship and community service. We strive to offer kids of all ages adventurous experiences and a character-building alternative to screen time. This is more important than ever in today’s digital world, but we need your help.
We’re excited to share a simple way you can support Scouts!
There are two easy ways to do this:
- Automatically donate your 10c refunds when you return your containers to a refund point e.g. a Reverse Vending Machine, CRS Depot or Over The Counter refund point.
- Contact your nearest participating Scout Group and ask if they are collecting containers or have a donation drop-off place located near you.
You can search for your local Scout Group Fundraiser on the Recycle Rewards App and on some Reverse Vending Machines.

• Can’t find a local Scout Group fundraiser? Donate to “Scouts Tasmania – Statewide Container Refund Fundraiser” which will help us purchase wheelie bins, signs and marketing materials to share with our smaller Scout groups.
Scout Groups all over Tasmania are busy setting up all the different ways they can collect containers from the community – please be patient (we’ve been camping!). This information will be posted on our website and Facebook pages as it becomes available.
BUSINESS DONATIONS: If you are a business and would like us to set up a donation bin/s for containers, or an Event Organiser where you’d like Scouts to be your onsite ‘binfluencers’, please email recycling@scouts.tas.com.au.
