Scouts Tasmania proudly launched its Recycling Rewards initiative at this year’s annual Scout Guide Regatta over the March long weekend.
For generations, Scouts have embraced recycling—not just as a way to care for the environment, but as a fundraiser for local groups. The funds raised through recycling help maintain and improve Scout Halls, upgrade essential camping gear, and invest in trailers and other resources that make outdoor adventures possible. By supporting this initiative, you’re directly contributing to helping us offer kids real experiences, real skills, and real community impact— the perfect antidote to screen time!
With Tasmania’s Container Refund Scheme launching on May 1st, we’re making it easy for the community to support Scouts. A dedicated web page will soon be available with all the details on how you can donate your 10-cent refunds to your local Scout Group or a favourite Scout fundraiser.
