North Midlands District

North Midlands District covers the country areas immediately south and west of the city of Launceston.

The badge depicting a 1960s vintage formulae one racing car commemorates the road racing circuit which once existed at Longford, a town placed centrally in North Midlands District.

For over a decade a major race meeting was held at Longford. There was no "Australian Grand Prix" as there is in Melbourne these days, so the most important race for open-wheelers in Australia was held at Longford on the first Monday in March each year. Two competitors of note were Stirling Moss and Jack Brabham.

Key: Joeys (J); Cubs (C); Scouts (S); Venturers (V); and Rovers (R).
