Consent2go FAQ

Q: I have a child at a school that uses Consent2Go. Can my care profile be shared with my Scout Group?

A: No. At this stage, each organisation requires its own care profile. The positive news is that all Scout Branches using Consent2Go have requested this functionality, and the company has indicated it will work on a future solution.

Q: I am a Scout Leader. How do I get access to Consent2Go?

A: Speak to your Group Leader. They can add youth members, leaders, adult helpers, and committee members into Consent2Go.

Q: I am a parent. How do I access Consent2Go?

A: Your Scout Group will send an invitation to the email address they have on file for you. Clicking the link in the email will take you to your child’s profile, where you can review and update their information.

You can access Consent2Go via a mobile app or a desktop/laptop browser.

Important notes:

  • You will typically be asked to complete a verification step (e.g., entering a code sent to your phone or email) before accessing the profile.
  • Make sure you use the same email address your Scout Group has listed for you in Consent2Go. This ensures the invitation and login will work correctly.

Q: I am not receiving messages from my Scout Group. What should I do?

A: Messages sent via Consent2Go may be filtered into your spam or junk folder. Emails come from mcbschools.com.

Tips to fix this:

  1. Add Consent2Go to your contacts or safe senders list.
  2. If a message has already gone to spam, mark it as “Not Spam.”

Q: I am a Scout Leader and I can’t work out how to…

A: Consent2Go includes an online help section. Click the Help button within the system.

Some features also include video tutorials to guide you through common tasks.

Q: I have checked the online help but I’m still confused. What support is available?

A: Scouts Tasmania has created a detailed User Guide (primarily for Leaders) and a one‑page guide for Group Leaders. Both are available on the Scouts Tasmania website.
